about will
Will Cass is a guitarist, singer and song-writer based in South Wales. His debut album ‘Ill Fated’ was recorded in the summer of 2019 with long standing band members Oliver Cahalane and Jack Stanton, drummer Thomas Dunkley and producer Tom Manning.
Exposed to rock’n’roll, blues and country in his formative years while living in Fairfax County, Virginia, these early influences compelled Will to pick up the guitar at the age of seven.
After moving back to the UK and gravitating away from formal classical styles towards electric guitar in his early teens, his interest in sports and other pursuits gradually gave way to music.
While studying at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London (ICMP), Will collaborated with fellow musicians Madeline Hart, Caitlin Kelly, Mike Dignam and Charlie Corrie as well as developing original material with fellow guitarist and singer, Dave D’Andrade.
Will has since toured the UK, mainland Europe, China, and North America with metal band ‘Cypher16.’ Experienced in a number of styles, Will was also a member of Midlands-based blues band ‘Graham Walker’s Propeller’ alongside long-time friends Oliver Cahalane and Andy Goodall.
Will has been a regular gigging guitarist for numerous acts over the years. He has also worked as a session musician for producer Tom Manning and Welsh producer, song-writer and drummer Christopher Havard.
In addition to his own music Will is a member of jazz/rock improvisational fusion project ‘The Plague Doctors Cure All.’ Founded with long-time friend and mentor Lyndon Owen, Andy Goodall and Liam Lee-Hynes.
